How should I format my Address file for shipping physical cards to multiple recipients?
 
Uploading of files for mailing takes file preparation. There are three ways to upload your names and addresses. You can use a Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, or in a tab delimited file. To export your records, with Outlook open, go into the file menu and look for the Import/Export selection. Follow the prompts to export your records. There is help on the Microsoft site at:

To upload a file with Excel please follow these steps: • Download this sample spreadsheet: Name and Address Upload Format.xls

• Paste your data into the correct columns - use the paste value selection under paste special so you do not copy any formulas or special characters.Do not add any column other than the ones existing in the provided template.
• If you have both US and Canadian address. Please split them onto separate files.
• States must be abbreviated with two letter abbreviations with no spaces or other items in the field.
• If you are using a version of Excel with tabs for worksheets, make sure the tab name is Sheet1. Delete all other tabs.
• If there are zip codes in your file that begin with zero you must label all the zip codes text cells in Excel or the zero at the front will be dropped. No extra characters or spaces can be in the zip code field. Format is either XXXXX or XXXXX-XXXX.
• Make sure the telephone number (This is an optional field you do not have to include phone numbers) is in the following format xxx-xxx-xxxx. Do not insert any other symbols or extensions, i.e. ().
• Upload the spreadsheet after saving it to your computer.
• Click "Ship to recipients" and then the "Upload file" button.

Hints to make the upload simpler:
• Do Control End to see if it goes to the last line in the phone number spot.
• Look for any blank cells in the first and last name fields
• Look for extra spaces in front of cells

Before uploading, it is important that the first row in Excel or the first row in the tab delimited text file have the following fields (one per column in Excel or before each Tab stop in the delimited file): First, Last, Company, Address1, Address2, City, State, Zip, Phone spelled as they are here. The Zip will determine the country so that does not need to be include the country in the file. When using a version of Excel with tabs, the worksheet with your data needs to be named Sheet1. You have to delete all sheets except sheet 1. If there are zip codes in your file that begin with zero you must label them text cells in Excel or the zero at the front will be dropped. After you have labeled them text then replace the 0 if it has been lost. Do not insert any other characters just put in the zero. If your zip code field contains the entire zip plus 4 number (55555-1111) it only imports properly if you use Excel 2007. If you are using another version of Excel, you will have more success and have less editing if after you have completed the above steps, you save it as a tab delimited file before importing.
Can I put a custom gift message on the Starbucks Card carrier?
 
Yes, we welcome your custom gift message. A customization fee applies to Cards with a value of less than $25. A minimum order of 15 Cards is required.
Will I receive a discount for large Starbucks Card orders?
 
Volume discounts are provided on a per-order basis. The discount rate received per order is: 3% - $50K, 4% - $150K, 5% - $350K, 6% - $500K

What are my payment options?
 
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Check payments are only available when purchasing Starbucks Cards from a sales support representative. Payment is due before order is processed. Credit cards will be billed when the order is shipped.
How much does it cost to ship Starbucks Cards for my online order?
 
Shipping Starbucks Cards to one location via ground service is complimentary with Card purchases of 15 or more. For individual shipping locations for each card, a $.45 postage fee and a $.25 customization fee is charged per Card. The customization fee is waived if the value of the Card is $25 or higher.
I need to send a prepaid check. What is your US mailing address?

Is it safe to use my credit card on Starbucks.com?
 
We make every effort to ensure that your ordering information, including your credit card number, is protected while you are on our site. Our Web site uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption so that your personal information cannot be read as it passes over the Internet. You can tell you are using the Secure Socket Layer encryption when a gold or blue padlock appears in the corner of your Netscape or Microsoft browser. SSL keeps others from seeing your personal information by scrambling it so that only your Web browser, and the server of our Web site, can decipher it. In addition, your online password adds another layer of security to your guest profile. These measures make it very unlikely that your credit card information will be compromised online. However, in the event of an unauthorized use of your credit card, notify your credit card provider or issuing bank in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. You are protected by regulations that cover credit card purchases and limit your liability to a maximum of $50 in charges.

After Ordering
When will I receive my Starbucks Cards?
 
You should receive your order within 6-8 business days. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge.
Cancellation of an Order
 
If the order has not begun the fulfillment process, we can cancel your order for free. If it is in the processing/fulfillment phase there is a $15 cancellation charge. Additional charges may apply for orders that have already shipped.

If my cards are stolen, will they be replaced? Lost or stolen cards cannot be returned/refunded after your Starbucks order is delivered complete to the intended or authorized recipient

In the event a replacement card is authorized, a standard Starbucks Card will be shipped

If I don’t use all of the eGifts from my order, can I return the unopened ones? No. All sales are final. Complete orders in which all eGifts have full face value can be returned within 14 days.
Can Starbucks send unviewed/unopened eGifts to a different recipient list? We currently have the ability to update email addresses for an existing recipient list that have failed delivery. Starbucks does not have the ability to replace recipients within an order.

You can purchase Starbucks Cards with either US or Canadian currencies on them. Only cards from the US (and Hawaii), Canada, Mexico, Australia, Ireland and the UK can be used interchangeably.

The Starbucks Card Corporate Sales team appreciates your interest in making the Starbucks Card part of your business’s campaign.
These Corporate Sales Program Terms and Conditions must be followed as a condition to participating in Starbucks Corporate Sales Program. Without limiting Starbucks other legal rights, your failure to do so will result in your termination in this Program and the denial of future orders.

Use of the Starbucks name and image to prospect for new customers is not permitted.

• You are not allowed to offer the Starbucks Card as part of your first interaction with any individual. In other words, you may not use the Starbucks brand to prospect for new customers.
• The Starbucks Card may not be used in mass media advertising, including television spots, radio, magazine or web-based ads, or email or text-message blasts/campaigns to prospective customers.
• You may not offer Starbucks Cards or other promotions through online auction or daily deal websites.

Restriction on Use of Starbucks Cards purchased using the Corporate Sales Program

Starbucks Cards purchased using the Corporate Sales Program are intended to be used as gifts or rewards. They cannot be resold absent written consent from Starbucks. Starbucks rarely gives that consent. Any resale of Starbucks Cards will only be authorized for the face value of those Starbucks Cards.

Identity and Usage Guidelines

• The Starbucks Card Corporate Sales Brand Guidelines, which are incorporated herein by this reference and can be viewed below will give you more specific information on how to use the Starbucks name, card image and word mark.
• Starbucks reserves the right to refuse usage of the Starbucks brand in any way including use of the Starbucks Card name, word mark and image.
Using the Starbucks Brand in Your Creative Materials

Tax
Why am I being charged for tax now when I wasn’t before?
 
As we continue to expand our product and service offerings in new ways, a technical improvement was implemented. Along with this change, taxable items and services will be taxed based on the ship-to location. All personalization/customization fees (i.e. co-branding) and non-card products will now see tax applied at the time of checkout. Taxes do not apply to value loaded on cards.
